Mays Magnificent Moped Meander 2008 is history!  Sunday 18 May 2008 has come and gone but the memories of a cracking event will live on for a long long time with all those involved.

Total monies raised so far £9800, which is all going to charity!

A massive THANK YOU to our sponsors, competitors, spectators and donators who have all helped in raising this amazing amount of money whilst simultaneously trumpeting the message of two wheeled safety and fun can go hand in hand.  Also to Leslie at the The Shepherds Rest in Westhill for having the foresight to give us a break and allow use of the facilities and to Andy and Ingrid of BIG MOUNTAIN music.  The entertainment was brilliant, (check them out at www.bigmountain.co.uk)

Big congratulations to the trophy winning teams of:

‘Team Dynamite’ (so glad you didn’t blow up as anticipated!);
‘Police Lightnin’ (Police is the word is the word!);
‘Step Thru Crew’ (who came back … eventually!);
‘The Tartan Toolbox Terrors’ (glad you didn’t go fast enough to raise your kilts above an acceptable level!);
Spidermen III (fabricating fabulous and three wheeled genius);

And, to the event overall winners, team ‘Nuns on the Run’ (this could become an annual habit!!)

Oh and next year promises to be bigger!  Yes, call us mad if you like but we are going to do it again in 2009!  Watch this space!

Welcome to the home page for a fun filled moped event that will simultaneously raise funds for up to 50 registered charities!

Fifty teams, each consisting of 2- 4 persons, one moped, and a determination to meet the challenge that is Mays Magnificent Moped Meander, will each raise money for a registered charity, chosen by them, whilst competing for a ‘winners pot’ of additional funds for their nominated charity.

With fifty teams competing this ‘winners pot’ will be a minimum of £2500!

With the gracious assistance of our sponsors this figure could be a whole lot more!

The event is taking place on Sunday 18 May 2008, and ‘Parc Firme’ is the Shepherds Rest, Straik Road, Westhill, Aberdeenshire,

Applications have to be submitted no later than 30 March 2008 and with only fifty places being available time is at a premium!
